She\u2019d probably tell you betting on sports is foolish, and she\u2019s mostly right \u2014 the odds are built to make the house rich, not you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But there\u2019s a wrinkle in the system.<br>A rare and fascinating one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s called <strong>arbitrage sports betting<\/strong> \u2014 or \u201carbing\u201d if you want to sound like you\u2019ve been doing this since the horse-and-buggy days of bookmakers. It\u2019s not gambling in the traditional sense, because it doesn\u2019t rely on guessing who will win.
