Court filings from September 19, 2025, reveal that Roske\u2019s defense team now refers to him with female pronouns. The sentencing is set for October 3, and prosecutors are asking for at least 30 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Roske, or \u201cSophie,\u201d had planned to kill a sitting Supreme Court Justice because he didn\u2019t like the way Roe v. Wade might go. He had a handgun, a knife, zip ties, and burglary tools. He called 911 on himself before carrying out the attack, which is the only reason Brett Kavanaugh is alive today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And now? We\u2019re told to respect the pronouns of a would-be assassin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Trans Identity as a Shield<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s the pattern: every time a high-profile criminal \u201ccomes out\u201d as trans, the focus shifts. The crime becomes secondary. The narrative becomes about pronouns, discrimination, or prison conditions. Suddenly, we\u2019re told the system must bend over backward to accommodate the criminal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Roske\u2019s case, the defense is already using this angle. They want lighter sentencing because of \u201cconditions in prison for transgender inmates.\u201d Translation: play the victim card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But let\u2019s not lose the thread. This was an assassination attempt against a Supreme Court Justice, carried out in a climate where left-wing activists were already protesting outside justices\u2019 homes and politicians were winking at the mobs. If the political winds had been blowing the other way, we\u2019d never hear the end of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Trend We Can\u2019t Ignore<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This isn\u2019t an isolated story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Nashville School Shooter (2023):<\/strong> Audrey Hale, a biological female who identified as male, carried out a massacre at Covenant School, killing six, including three children. The media quickly shifted to worrying about \u201canti-trans backlash.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Aberdeen, Maryland Shooting (2018):<\/strong> Snochia Moseley, a transgender individual, shot and killed three co-workers before turning the gun on herself. Coverage was muted.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Denver STEM School Shooting (2019):<\/strong> One of the shooters, Maya \u201cAlec\u201d McKinney, identified as transgender. Again, the reporting bent over backwards to frame the identity angle sympathetically.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Notice a pattern? Each time, the violence gets brushed aside while activists rush to make sure \u201cmisgendering\u201d doesn\u2019t happen. The dead, the injured, the nearly assassinated\u2014those are afterthoughts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why This Matters<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s get one thing straight: I don\u2019t care what clothes you wear or what name you go by. That\u2019s your choice. But when identity politics becomes a shield for violence, we\u2019ve crossed into dangerous territory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Imagine if a Christian conservative tried to assassinate a Supreme Court Justice. Imagine if a guy in a MAGA hat shot up a school. Would the media spend their time on pronouns? Or would they hammer home the ideology behind the act, demanding that anyone remotely connected be investigated?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We all know the answer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Cultural Gaslighting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You know what? When it doesn\u2019t, it gets buried under layers of identity spin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s like the Fed playing Monopoly with real lives, but this time the currency is outrage. They print it up when it suits them, and they tighten the supply when it doesn\u2019t.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And here\u2019s the dangerous part: if we can\u2019t talk honestly about who commits violence and why, then we can\u2019t solve anything. Pretending doesn\u2019t make people safer. The White House press secretary at the time even dodged questions about whether protesting outside justices\u2019 homes was appropriate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So ask yourself: what happens when political leaders wink at mobs, the media spins identity as a shield, and unstable individuals like Roske are egged on by the rhetoric? We get exactly this. Violence, rebranded as victimhood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Human Cost<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s what we\u2019re not supposed to talk about:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Brett Kavanaugh\u2019s children had to live with the knowledge that a man came to their doorstep with a gun.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Families in Nashville will never see their kids again because a trans shooter decided to turn rage into murder.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Co-workers in Aberdeen lost their lives in a shooting that the media quickly swept aside.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Real people suffer while activists fight over pronouns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where Do We Go From Here?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The answer isn\u2019t complicated, but it\u2019s also not politically correct:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Stop excusing violence because of identity. A murderer is a murderer, no matter their pronouns.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hold the media accountable when they bury stories or spin them into \u201crepresentation\u201d issues.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recognize that ideological violence\u2014whether left or right\u2014should be condemned without qualifiers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>And most importantly: stop training people to see themselves as victims first and responsible adults second. Handouts, excuses, and identity politics only fuel the cycle. It\u2019s like feeding bears at a campsite. It feels compassionate in the moment, but it creates a long-term danger for everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Final Word<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Nicholas Roske didn\u2019t just try to kill Brett Kavanaugh. He tried to kill the rule of law. And no amount of name changes or pronouns changes that fact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If we want a society where freedom and responsibility matter, then we need to stop pretending violence can be washed away by identity politics.
