Sport suspension inactive warning after jump start – what now?
Well this has been a fun week. My 2019 Velar wouldn’t start on Monday, I called a recovery service who gave me a jump and everything seemed fine. I drove around for about 30 minutes to let the alternator do its thing and parked it. Tuesday morning, same story, completely dead. So I figured the battery is clearly toast and I need to get it sorted. The thing is, after I jumped it the second time, I got this “suspension inactive” warning on the dash and the car was sitting noticeably lower than usual. I panicked thinking I’d fried some expensive module, but a friend told me these Land Rovers just throw random warnings when the battery voltage drops too low and they usually clear themselves after a proper battery replacement and system reset. I’m not really comfortable driving it too far with these warnings on, so I need to find a place that can come to me or is really close by. I live near the Industrial Area 13 side of Sharjah and I’ve seen a few workshops around there that seem to handle a lot of SUVs. I’m hoping I can replace a Range Rover battery in Industrial Area 13 with Fast help because I really can’t afford to be without the car for days. Has anyone dealt with these suspension warnings after a battery issue and did they go away after the new battery was fitted and coded properly? I’m just worried there’s something more serious going on and a battery swap won’t fix it.
