Memorial to John "Jack" Donovan of Athy Ireland

Ryan Thompson is embarking on a heartfelt and groundbreaking journey to honor his dear friend Jack in a way that's both intimate and innovative. By opting for a tattoo that encapsulates Jack's voice and wisdom, Ryan is turning to the avant-garde technology provided by Skinmotion.com, a pioneering platform that breathes life into tattoos through the magic of sound. This unique tattoo will carry an audio snippet of Jack’s voice, immortalizing his presence and sage advice, like the unforgettable words, “Dogs are better than people.” With the help of the Skinmotion app, anyone scanning Ryan’s tattoo will have the privilege of hearing Jack’s voice, ensuring his essence and insights endure not merely in recollections but in a palpable, auditory form.

Jack, a man who held an immense love for dogs, imparted wisdom on relationships, humanity, and the nuances of our existence with a blend of humor and profundity. He introduced me to classics like “The Quiet Man” starring John Wayne, and “Michael Collins,” which narrates the struggle for the Irish Republic’s independence—films that reflect his passion and complex views on life and freedom. Jack once confided in me that the love of my life had never cherished anyone as deeply as she cherishes me, a testament to his understanding and the depth of our conversations, given his lifelong friendship with her.

There's an abundance to miss about Jack—his unique perspective on life, his tidbits of wisdom, and, most profoundly, our conversations that spanned the mundane to the extraordinary. Through this innovative memorial tattoo, Ryan ensures that Jack’s voice, his laughter, and his profound insights on dogs, relationships, and life's intricate tapestry remain a living, breathing part of this world, transforming the very essence of how we commemorate our loved ones.
