This shows the contrasting differences between modern feminism movements such as the so-called “First Wave Feminism movement” of the 1910s through the 1930s which was about equality, the right to vote and the right to work.
To the free-love sexual revolution feminism in the 1960s often coined as “Second Wave Feminism”, to the later movements of feminism in the 1970s which is often referred to as “radical feminism” (aka Third Wave Feminism) that dubbed men “the enemy” (all men), to the latest version of feminism (aka Fouth Wave Feminism) where women believe that gender is a social construct, and that there are literally no differences between men and women, and that women can become men, and they also still seem to preach that men are the enemy, but now they call is “toxic masculinity”.
What I find interesting, and as Christina Sommers and Camille Paglia point out, is that women when from empowered in first wave feminism, to slowly devolving downwards to almost complete victimhood. So in summary, as women gain more rights, freedom and empowerment, the more modern feminist causes preach more and more victimhood.
